There is also a guide for Australian Indigenous Art.

Are you an online art history student?

The Barr Smith Library holds a more than adequate collection of books, journals and reference tools on art, but for in-depth research it may be necessary to consult the libraries of Adelaide's other two universities, Flinders and University of South Australia (City West campus), both of which have very good art collections.
You may borrow from these other two universities with your University of Adelaide card.
The State Library also often holds useful titles.
All their catalogues can be consulted from here,
or you can search across libraries Australia-wide using Libraries Australia
Journals not held by the BSL can be located on the database
Serials in Australian Libraries (SIAL),

where any location beginning with an S is a South Australian location.

The Library of the Art Gallery of South Australia should be consulted as a last resort.
