HERGA is a cross-disciplinary community of educators, representing all of the South Australian universities and other members from across Australia and New Zealand, with the intention to promote high quality university learning through sharing evidence-based, practical approaches to teaching and learning.
The Academy will meet as a group quarterly to discuss issues relevant to their teaching. Activities will include visiting guest speakers, workshops, and discussions on a variety of topics such as developing a teaching philosophy, developing a curriculum, e-learning, and teaching strategy.
A comprehensive bibliographic and full text database covering scholarly research and information relating to all areas of education. Subjects include primary, secondary and higher education, curriculum design as well as administration, policy, funding, and related social issues.
