Troubleshooting

Issue: “Course not in Equella” message

Answer: Course has not been loaded into Online Content. This occurs most often at the beginning of semester when courses are merged or when new courses are added to MyUni but have not yet been loaded into Online Content. Contact DRMC in the first instance to check latest loaded courses and have the course loaded manually if necessary.

Issue: No “Activate and Add” button in MyUni after searching for and selecting an item using the Online Content tool.

Answer: You are not listed in right security group in Online Content. Please contact the DRMC and request to be added manually.

Issue : You have rolled over MyUni pages from one year to next, but individual citations are still showing the previous availability dates.

Answer: This may occur when a course has been rolled over but activations were not rolled over, or the Adaptive Release option has been used instead of Edit option to adjust dates. To resolve this, either a) remove the citation and add and activate again, or b) contact DRMC to roll over the activation

Issue : "Copyright problem" message appears in MyUni when clicking on a pdf link.

Answer: You may have rolled over a previous year's MyUni page of readings or moved/copied a reading. To resolve this, either a) remove the citation and add and activate again, or b) contact DRMC to roll over the activation.

Issue : "An error has occurred" message appears in MyUni when clicking on an URL link for an Online Content reading

Answer: You may have rolled over a previous year's MyUni page of readings or moved/copied a reading. To resolve this, either a) remove the citation and add and activate again, or b) contact DRMC to roll over the activation.

Issue : You have added an item to MyUni and can see the item, but students say it does not appear in their view of MyUni.

Answer: This can occur when the dates of availability have been set in MyUni and the lecturer can therefore see the item in edit mode but not when edit mode is turned off, which is equivalent of the student view. Either adjust availability dates of the MyUni object, or remove object and add again using the Online Content tool for correct dates.

Issue : Students report difficulties accessing electronic resources such as ejournals and ebooks
