Using SpringerLink

SpringerLink has electronic books covering a wide range of disciplines from several publishers.


  •  Ebooks can be read online by clicking on chapter titles or "Look inside" on book cover image.


  •  You can search within the ebook itself (search box just above book cover image), or the Springer collection as a whole (search box at top of page).

Downloading and printing:

  • Springer allows downloading of indvidual chapters as PDFs, by clicking on the relevant link. Each chapter provides details of the file size, indicating the amount of time and internet data required for download.
  • PDFs can be printed out.
  • You can also download the entire book at once by clicking the "Download book" button.

  • This will download the entire book as a PDF, which you can save on your computer, or keep on your iPad (in iBooks, Bluefire Reader, etc.)

Highlighting and annotating, etc.:

  • This can be done using the "Comment" toolbar on your saved PDFs.
