There are a variety of different search tools which you can use to locate CC images and other images that you can use for free. 

Keep in mind:

  • There are any number of sources of free images. This is only a small selection.
  • Some images are only available for non-commercial purposes;
  • Always check the CC or other licencing terms on the website, don't just rely on the image appearing in your CC-restricted search results;  
  • Ensure that your use of the image is permitted by the type of CC or other licence;
  • Make sure you attribute the image correctly.
