Digital Resources Management Centre (DRMC): Home

The Digital Resources Management Centre (DRMC) provides a centralised service for the processing and management of copyright materials that are required for teaching purposes by staff members of the University of Adelaide.

The Digital Resources Management Centre:

  • Sources and scans copyright material to create a digital item and assigns accompanying metadata
  • Makes readings available for lecturers to add to MyUni via the Online Content tool
  • Checks readings for copyright compliance and maintains the copyright records required for reporting
  • All copyright material that is to be made available for teaching purposes on MyUni must be requested through the Digital Resources Management Centre.

Benefits of using the Centre

  • Readings are available to every student doing the course at all times and from anywhere
  • DRMC team assists with sourcing of resources
  • Resources are easy to add to MyUni course pages (via the Online Content database) either as individual readings or as a list of readings in one document
  • Readings are available for use in more than one course with little added effort for the lecturers
  • It is easy to use the same readings next semester or next year
  • Ensures you abide by the University Copyright policy : “When copyrighted materials … are to be made available as a teaching resource online … staff must arrange the digitising and posting of the material through the Library’s Digital Resources Management Centre.“
