Need help using the library?

Head to Ask Library, located in the red area on level 3 Hub Central, to chat with a library staff member about using the library or finding information.

You can also speak with a library staff member at any of the branch libraries by going to one the main service desk of your library.

One of the library's incredibly useful resource guides may also point you in the right direction (there's a resource guide that points to the most useful books, journals or databases for most major subject areas)

About the University Libraries

There are four libraries that make up the University Libraries

... the Barr Smith Library, Law Library, Roseworthy Campus Library and Waite Library. More information

The Barr Smith Library is the big one (and the one that you're most likely to need a map and compass to find your way out of), and has the largest range of books and resources.

The Barr Smith Library is also where you will find Rare Books and Special Collections.

All of the University Libraries offer:

  • An incredible range of books and resources
  • Computers
  • Study spaces designed for laptop and mobile device use (which is a fancy way of saying that wifi is available and there are powerpoints nearby)
  • Quiet study spaces
  • Group study spaces

... plus access to friendly and knowledgeable library staff who can assist you with finding the information and resources you need.
