Clinical Trial Registries

Cochrane Library This link opens in a new window
The Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) is searchable via the Cochrane Library. Data sources include PubMed/Medline; Embase; CINAHL; WHO ICTRP; ClniicalTrials.gov and the Cochrane Review Groups' Specialized Registers. Note that the WHO ICTRP includes the ANZCTR, the EU Clinical Trials Register and many more.

ANZCTR (Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry)
ANZCTR is an online registry of clinical trials being undertaken in Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere.
ClinicalTrials.gov
A registry and results database of clinical trials from around the world. This is the main source of government and private trials from the USA.
EU Clinical Trials Register
This register allows you to search for protocol and results information on interventional clinical trials that are conducted in the European Union and the European Economic Area.
WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (WHO ICTRP)
A central database containing the trial registration data sets from registries in Australia, UK, USA, Japan, Korea, Brazil, China, Iran, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Germany, Cuba, India. The full list of included registries can be viewed from the WHO ICTRP homepage.

Hint: try restricting your searches to 'clinical trials' in health databases. e.g. PubMed.
