Bibliographic records from most journal databases are easily imported into your EndNote library. You can search the databases and select references to be transferred into your EndNote library, individually, in small batches, or in bulk.
Most databases have a direct export function to EndNote or you will be able to use an import filter to import a text file.
The export procedure will vary depending on the database you are using, the database provider (e.g. EBSCO, Ovid, Clarivate) and the browser you are using e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer (Safari is NOT recommended for use with EndNote). Direct export generally involves the following steps:
